日本游戏开发商square enix近日宣布出售子公司western studio以及包括新《盗墓者罗拉》系列等50个ip。其后也有业内人士在twitter发文指sony有可能收购square enix。

jeff grubb指，square enix抛售旗下游戏ip的举动，意味着未来可能会发出更重磅的消息，而游戏大厂sony很有可能将square enix视为收购目标。然而一切纯属推测，没有确实证据支持。
话虽如此，但游戏业界近年竞争激烈，sony分别在今年一月及三月，分别收购射击游戏《halo》系列开发商bungie，以及由前《刺客信条》系列制作人jade raymond主导的haven studio，令外界推测sony其后也会有进一步收购行动。
而square enix目前旗下尚有《final fantasy》及《勇者斗恶龙》等经典游戏ip，如果收购传闻属实，相信一定会大大提升sony playstation的竞争力。
